My passion for helping people find a home and a community began with my own search for home when I moved from a small city in Mexico to The Bay Area, at 13 years old. Fascinated by the myriad of cultures and people, I wanted to find my own community and be able to call this place home. For years I wondered what made people feel at home and create communities, this curiosity inspired me to study Geography at UC Berkeley. My education opened my eyes to the world we live in, a world where moving can be a painful event, a beautiful experience, or both. I knew then that I had to help people find a home and a sense of belonging.
